Life Thus Far

Hiya!

So life is still pretty rubbish but I've got a baby leopard gecko, named Bubbles, to keep me company now.  I got her on the 16/5 and I love her to bits (even if she does sleep most of the time).

I'm going through finals at the moment so if you read my fanfics they prob won't be updated till the summer holz when I'm epically bored (sorry).
I had my first Calculus exam yesterday but had a panic attack so was late only to find I was locked out >__< then the guy came to unlock it for me and I had to stand in front of a whole hall of students waiting to start their exam and not make eye contact in case it was deemed 'communication'.

Guys are still a pain...can't be friends with them for more than a month before they ask me out and claim 'they know me' and that 'they know I want to go out with them'.  Most of them think they're doing me a favor too...makes me wonder what I saw in them in the first place.  I now have 4 minor stalkers, one used to be a best friend but he's posessivness means I barely speak to him else I get lectured on talking to other guys....,
another is a major creep who claims he's going to move to where I live to attend Uni here and visit me everyday @_@,
another is a friend but is cyber stalking me and copying all my hobbies or activities (he's getting a gecko too now)
and finally the last one isn't that bad, he minorly cyber stalks me and asks about my personal life a tad too much.

I need some anti-guy spray 8D
My friend jokes that I must give off 'I'm easy' vibes or sumthin...I should get that checked.

Oh and then the one guy mate who asked me out but has a girlfriend already now lies to me...and will claim to be at home ill when he's actually visiting the gf...no clue why he does but it makes me feel like a mistress or the wife and the gf is a mistress....

Anywho revision time...or maybe pizza time instead
(Yay for procrastination!)

Bye byes!

First Blog

Hiya!
I've decided I wanna start blogging again! I chose to use my account for my writing persona because it will be private from my friends and it lets my readers get to know me (if they wish).

So the past year has been a nightmare, I mean as far as my life is concerned so far it's been horrible! I moved to the UK in 2006 and started year 10 and was completely lost as the schooling system was somewhat different and I hadn't studied some of the subjects before. Luckily I got over the hurdle of a new culture and quickly found my footing in all the top classes, made friends and found my place among the year group. At the end of my 2 years at school I cam out with a A-C pass in all 11 subjects, not the grades I wanted, but still decent. Then came the trouble of choosing a college (basically 2 years before Uni), I wanted to go to College B, where my parents and I agreed I'd go before I even moved to the UK but we were moving further north and my parents wanted me to go to a more posh College A. I disagreed with them and decided to join College B but then I changed my mind at the last minute, giving into my parents pressure and wanting to challenge myself in a new environment. That was probably my biggest mistake, I threw myself into the deep end not even knowing how to swim, I'd chosen 5 academic subjects when most chose 3 or 4, I chose to be a 2 hours drive from my friends, chose a college where I knew no one and no one wanted to get to know me. After a few months of many, many emotional breakdowns (crying in a public bathroom everyday was the worst part)  I pleaded with my Mom to try and get me a transfer to College B. College A was sick of me and pressured me to drop out or change colleges and to be honest I was sick of them to and would have been happy to see the place go up in flames. College B gave me the bad news that they didn't accept transfers but after a few months I got in! Then came the bad news that my maths course had no places so I'd have to choose a different one. I needed that math course to get into Cambridge...so I had two options, stay at College A or do an extra year of school...I chose College B with out hesitation.
I'm now surrounded by my friends again, getting along with my teachers but failing...I've never failed any subject in my whole life! But now I have 3 D/E grades...And due to a health issue I'd rather not go into I'm highly stressed and tense all day and this leads to exhaustion.

So school life = hell
Personal life? Not much better...

In the past month two of my closest guy friends asked me out. The first one, we'll call him M, has been a solid support for me or the past 3 years, he's also been in a (what I thought) serious relationship for nearly 2 years. He told me how he felt over MSN and claimed he always had. He said things weren't great with his girlfriend and the distance between them was only increasing as their differences became more and more obvious. I was literally shaking and crying as he told me. I unfortunately had to decline even though he meant a lot to me, I just wasn't attracted to him in that way, I don't date (I have commitment issues) and he has a girlfriend that is friends with my best friend. After that we barely speak...
My best friend also thinks that I like M so she's extremely angry at me for doing that to his girlfriend and doesn't realise it's the other way round.

The second guy, D, I've only known for 4 months but we became close with in a matter of weeks. He asked me out last week and once again I declined as I don't date and he annoyed me if I spent too much time with him. He has been begging me to change my mind or just give him a chance for the past week and has become freakishly clingie and possessive...So now I'm growing to dislike him more and more with each passing day. He's told me he's planning to go to W Uni so he can see me everyday (lives near said Uni) and keeps asking to meet my parents! @_@

Then there's three guys that are friends I met through D and a guy in my math class, I feel like they worship me, don't get me wrong I'm not stuck up it's just they like what I like, dislike what I like and are at my beck and call 24/7. It's...creepy and I wish I could just have regular guy friends for once....

*Sigh* All I can do is give up on guy friends and back off my current ones and study like my life depends on it!

What a depressing first journal entry but I had to get it off my chest...
Till next time *waves*

Clean Up My Act - Chap 1

Ages:
- Kagome 24
- Sango 26
- Rin 19
- InuYasha 26
- Miroku 28
- Sesshomaru 31

 Chapter 1:

We begin our story in small corner street café which wasn’t your regular café, if you paid close attention to who entered and exited you’d note that 99 percent of those people were men and if you dared to enter this odd café in Tokyo, Japan you’d note that the staff was girls only and they were all gorgeous. They also all wore maid costumes, it barely covered to the knee and was frilly and basically impossible to be used by a real maid. This café was designed for men who wanted to escape single and maybe even married life to a world of fantasy, of course the staff did no more than flirt and serve customers. We start with a young women named Kagome but this by no means her story but rather her friend’s.

Kagome glanced up when she heard the bell ring signaling another customer had entered but she returned to her book when she saw it was just Ren, a usual.

“So…you’re reading that in hopes of getting him to ask you out?”

Kagome glared at the woman across from her, her so called best friend, Sango before glancing at the title of the book she was attempting to read ‘Boy Volume III: How to get his attention with out removing clothing’.

“Maybe”

“Kagome don’t be like that, we care for you and for you to go after a man who spends his time at these sorts of cafes, he doesn’t deserve you”

Kagome sighed and book marked her page before looking up at her other friend and co-worker, Rin.

“He isn’t like these other perverts, he’s actually a gentleman”

“Yea, till he gets in your pants then he’ll toss you to the side like a used toy”

Kagome regarded her older friend with sympathy, Sango had thought a customer she once fell for was her one in a million but he turned out to just be your regular perverted bastard.

“Sango…”

Kagome was interrupted when the bell rang again and this time it was the man she’d been waiting for. He scanned his surroundings before sitting down in his usual seat with his perverted friend except this time he’d brought another. Kagome stood and stopped the lady heading in the men’s direction.

“Kiki, do you mind…umm if I take this one, please?”

“Okay”

Kagome grabbed her note book and checked her uniform was in perfect condition before approaching the three men. She couldn’t help but let her attention drift to the man she had a crush on, InuYasha, he had long, wild white hair which reached his waist and eyes the shade of gold. He also had a small pair of white dog ears hidden in his hair signaling he was a hanyou. He was wearing a casual blue button up shirt with the top few buttons undone and baggy jeans. His friend beside him, Miroku had black hair which was tied in a tiny ponytail at the base of his neck and dark blue eyes. He wore tight jeans and a tight black shirt showing off his slightly built figure, Kagome blushed before turning her attention to the new comer. She had no idea who he was but judging by his feature he was related to InuYasha. He had the same hair except it was tidier and pulled back into a low ponytail. He also had the same eyes except they seemed cold and he had the markings of a full demon. He also wore a suit, his tie still done up, meaning he was a business man and a strict one.

“InuYasha, Miroku and…?”

“Oh, Kagome, this is my older half brother, Sesshomaru”

“A pleasure to meet you, so ready to order drinks?”

***

“So he finally showed up”

“What do you mean Sango?”

Sango regarded her younger co-worker who had only started a few days ago.

“Well, he shows at least every other day and Kagome always serves him. She was his first waitress and no one has served him since and he ignores or treats anyone else coldly”

“Which one?”

“The one in the blue shirt with the white hair”

“Oh…what about the others?”

“Well the man with black hair beside him is Miroku, and he’s been here since his high school days, long before InuYasha started coming. I used to serve him but now that InuYasha is here I let Kagome serve them. And the third one is a new comer I believe and by the looks of it in some way related to InuYasha.”

“Why does InuYasha have dog ears?”

“He’s a hanyou of the dog pack but judging by the older man’s markings he is a full demon of the same pack”

“Wow you know a lot”

“My ancestors were demon slayers and I am one too in my spare time”

“Oh…wow”

***

Kagome emerged from the kitchen to see her friends watching the table where the three men sat.

“Rin, Sango I need help carrying the food and drinks over please”

They nodded before following her into the kitchen and taking a tray with either food or drink on it.

“Sango, that is Miroku’s order and Rin that is Sesshomaru’s order”

Both girls nodded before following Kagome’s lead to InuYasha’s table. They bowed before smiling at the boys and setting down their orders. They were about to leave when the black haired man smiled at the girls.

“Girls, my friends and I were wondering if you would mind keeping us company over our meal, if you would like to order anything it’s on us and we will tip generously of course”

Sango regarded the man suspiciously.

“This is probably some bazaar stunt, knowing Miroku’s perverted ways.”

“Sango, my dear you wound me, I am but a humble monk who enjoys your company”

Sango snorted unlady like and sat beside the man while the new comer spoke up for the first time.

“I’m afraid to admit it but the pervert is speaking the truth, he is legally a monk, it’s a family thing believe it or not”

“Fine, my friends and I will join you men while you eat but we will not be taken advantage of and I’m starved”

Kagome sat beside InuYasha and due to it only being a four seater booth she had to be rather close making both her and InuYasha blush ferociously. Sango was scanning the menu trying to ignore the man next to hers horrible attempt at flirting. Rin was sitting next to the business man who didn’t even seem to notice she was there.

After awhile everyone was talking to there partner except Rin and Sesshomaru who sat in an awkward silence.

“Sesshomaru, if you do not mind me asking what business are you in?”

“I own Takashi Industry, my brother also looks after my business and is basically a partner although it would help if he turned up to work instead of coming here to flirt.”

Rin giggled causing the man to regard the beauty beside him, he had to admit it’s a laugh he wouldn’t mind hearing again.

“So I take it you’re an all work and no play kind of man?”
”I suppose you could put it that way”

“Well, it’s a good thing you’re here then, I believe you have to have balance in your life”

Sesshomaru glanced at his companions who had gotten up to dance leaving Rin and himself alone in the booth.

“I have no time for such stupid things, my business is all that matters and I didn’t get to the top by playing games”

Rin laughed again before moving closer to the man till they were practically nose to nose.

“Well its about time you learnt that you aren’t always right, it would appear you have never had a real relationship or wife”

“No…how did you know?”

“You sound like you are sure of yourself and that anything that passes your lips is law, no married man could talk like that”

Sesshomaru smiled causing Rin to smile who still hadn’t backed away.

“You aren’t expecting a kiss or anything are you?”

“Of course not, I would not allow my first kiss to be taken by a stranger no matter how good looking”

Sesshomaru was surprised to hear that the beautiful women before him had never been kissed, especially when she worked at a place like this. She backed away slightly and removed his tie and unbuttoned his top few buttons.

“Much better, now come and dance”

Sesshomaru was left speechless and without thinking stood and joined Rin on the dance floor.

Holiday Romance - Part 1

Key:
Normal = Kagome and InuYasha
Italics = Izayoi and Inu-no-taisho

***

The great Dog Demon, ruler of the western land watched as the humans massacred each other. He had little interest in their petty wars as long as they didn’t cross his boarder and cause chaos with the demons. He knew that if the humans were to enter demon territory there would be a big mess to fix, demons never crossed the border as long as humans didn’t cross it either and if that silent promise was to be broken the balance that existed would be destroyed.

“HELP!! LADY IZAYOI!!”

Inu-no-taisho turned in the direction the voice had come from. He saw a ring of the humans standing around the bloody body of a young woman.

“Surround her; we must protect the Lady at all costs!”

 ***

Kagome looked up at a blurry InuYasha.

“Kagome hang in there, it’s dead now”

Kagome smiled before loosing the last of her hold on consciousness.

“KAGOME!!”

InuYasha’s vision started to blur and he felt tears starting to make their way across his cheeks. He picked up the limp form of Kagome which was barely hanging onto life and ran towards Kaede’s village, gaining speed as his demon started to immerge.

 ***

Inu-no-taisho’s eyes widened as the warriors surrounding the young woman were killed one by one. He didn’t know what was happening but something inside him had cracked and his heart rate was up before rational thought took hold he ran down and snatched the young woman just as the last few warriors protecting her were killed.

He found a cave on his side of the border where he placed her before heading to the entrance to keep watch of her and the battle which was fast coming to a close. The ground was covered in blood of the slayed and injured. Inu-no-taisho saw the leader of each party walking towards the centre of the battle ground probably ready to negotiate peace making the loss of these lives, husbands, fathers and loved a waste. Inu-no-taisho sighed before heading back into the cave to check on the young woman who appeared to have a high standing in the human species.

 ***

“Lady Kaede how is Lady Kagome?”

“She has gotten better and should wake up soon”

“And InuYasha?”

“He is still the same, his demon immerges every time someone approaches except for me and even then he keeps a close eye on my every move, he’s barely left her side and barely eaten”

Miroku sighed fearing this would be what he would hear before bowing and returning outside to join the rest of the gang.

The gang had been in a battle with one of Naraku’s stronger incarnations and by a small margin had won but nearly had to pay with Kagome’s life. InuYasha had turned demon after Kagome collapsed and hadn’t let anyone but Kaede approach her so far.

“Inu…Yasha?”

InuYasha’s ears perked up and he looked across the room to the futon on which Kagome had been on for the last month. She had her head turned in his direction with a weak smile on her face.

“Kagome…”

He slowly got up and walked over to the girl he’d been beside for the last month yet she wasn’t there in some way.

“Yo”

“Can you help me sit up please?”

InuYasha nodded before helping her to sit up and lean against the wall, he blushed but continued to smile.

“Why is your appearance that of your demon side?”

InuYasha’s ears drooped as he shrugged not sure of the reason either but knew it was thanks to his demon side that he had reached Kaede in time to save Kagome. He looked up preparing to see fear, disgust and pity, but when he looked up she was smiling.

“Did you lose your voice?”

“N..no”

“Good I wouldn’t want anything about you to change”

“What makes you think I’ll ever change, wench?”

Kagome’s smile widened before she moved over and patted the space next to her. InuYasha looked at the spot curiously. She couldn’t possible mean what he thought she meant.

“InuYasha are you going to come sit with me or not?”

InuYasha smiled before sitting next to her and sticking his arm around her as she snuggled closer and fell back to sleep.

 ***

Inu-no-taisho was half way through cleaning the young woman’s wounds and the dry blood when her eyes slowly began to open. Inu-no-taisho paused his eyes widened waiting for the young woman to begin panicking as so many humans did when in the company of a demon.

“Who are you my kind sir?”

“Inu-no-taisho milady”

“Don’t call me milady, you are a demon lord and I am just a woman born from a noble family, I do not deserve a title milord”

“How about we both forget titles and formalities, may I ask your name?”

“Izayoi”

“Do you not fear me?”

Izayoi held the hand which was still holding the washing rag by her face where he’d been cleaning some dry blood off.

“Any man with such gentle hands does not deserve to be feared unless necessary of course”

Inu-no-taisho looked at the young woman in shock.

“Don’t worry I won’t tell anyone, we wouldn’t want your enemies mocking you now would we?”

Inu-no-taisho smiled before continuing to clean her wounds.

***

InuYasha smiled at the young girl, no woman, who was now 18 years of age and was chasing around her young adopted fox kitsune. She had recovered from the battle 3 months ago and was back to her energetic and optimistic self.

“Hey Inu, you want to go to the river near by with us. It’s such a hot day; we could all do with a swim”

“Sure”

InuYasha floated while Kagome and Shippo had a splash fight…such children they were, InuYasha smiled to himself while he thought about the time they had spent with each other. He was brought out of his thoughts when a big wave of water hit him. He stood up trying to figure out what had cause it when he turned to see Shippo and Kagome trying not to laugh but failing miserably. He smirked while approaching them, Shippo noticed and hid behind Kagome.

“Inu we’re sorry, please don’t hurt us!”

InuYasha’s smirk only grew as he picked up Kagome bridal style making her let out a squeak of surprise before her arms wrapped around InuYasha.

“Inu, please put me down, I’m sorry!”

InuYasha pulled her closer before spinning around making her squeal. Shippo smiled at his new little family.

 ***

Inu-no-taisho looked at the beautiful young woman beside him to see her with a sad expression and tears beginning to show.
”Izayoi what is it that upsets you?”

“Inu-no-taisho it’s been 2 months now, I’m fully healed and ready to return to my family, although I’d rather stay here…with you I can no longer trouble my family who probably now believe me to be dead”

“Izayoi…you don’t have to return”

“I do…I am promised to the lord of my land and must fulfill my families promise”

Inu-no-taisho looked off in the direction of the human territories, he knew this day would come sooner or later but he preferred later to sooner, he had found himself becoming quite attached to the young woman.

“Alright, when do you wish to leave?”

“Now”

“Of course, I’ll carry you to quicken the journey”

Izayoi nodded as the tears continued to fall. Inu-no-taisho picked her up and ran off towards the Human territory.

Inu-no-taisho put Izayoi down just outside the entrance to her village, she was still crying silently.

“Inu-no-taisho promise me this is not the last time we meet”

“When are you to be married to the lord?”

“In 2 moons”

“I’ll visit you before then, in secrete of course, do not mention this to anyone, if they ask you were kidnapped by a demon and escaped”

Izayoi nodded before Inu-no-taisho left and she turned to enter her village. She felt all eyes on her as she walked along the busy streets heading for her home, she was after all in a sense the walking dead.

“Lady Izayoi is that you?”

Izayoi nodded to the guard outside her house who then escorted her inside where her parents were sitting down to lunch.

“Milady, milord, Lady Izayoi”

Izayoi’s parents stood up and Izayoi bowed and so did they in greeting before her mother ran to hug her, tears in her eyes.

 ***

“InuYasha!!”

“Yo!”

“It’s 2 days before Christmas and I want to go home”

“Christmas already?”

Kagome sighed she kept forgetting even after all these years the Hanyou still had no sense of time.

“Yes and I want to be home for the holiday”

“Okay”

Kagome smiled InuYasha had been nicer since the last battle although she wasn’t sure why she wasn’t complaining. Kagome packed her big yellow bag before grabbing InuYasha’s hand and running towards the well sending her friends a quick farewell. InuYasha blushed at her sudden action but smiled and picked up speed picking Kagome up bridal style and jumping into the well.

He continued carrying her on the other side of the well with out really giving it a second thought. He entered Kagome’s home and smiled down at Kagome who was grinning.

“Well look at the cute couple!”

Kagome tore her gaze from InuYasha over to her mother who had a camera out and Souta and Grandpa were watching. InuYasha blushed and put Kagome down before she ran over to her mother and hugged her family while telling them off.

***

Inu-no-taisho sneaked through the silent village being careful to stay in the shadows. A demon lord in human territory was not good in the way of keeping peace but he promised he’d see her tonight. He finally arrived at her house before slipping in through her window which she always left open just in case.

“Inu-no-taisho?”

“I’m here Izayoi, so what is so special about today that I had to come?”

“It’s Christmas, a western tradition which is quite new to us”

“What is this Christmas?”

“Its something to do with a western religion I believe but even so anyone can celebrate it as it is a time for loved ones being together”

Izayoi gasped and covered her mouth fearing she had said to much. Inu-no-taisho watched her curiously. He had been visiting her secretly for the last month and had been finding himself becoming more and more attached to this young woman. He looked up to see a small plant hanging from the ceiling.

“What is that doing there?”

Izayoi looked up to where he was pointing and blushed.

“What is it about this plant that makes you blush?”

“It’s another western Christmas tradition, you hang these plants called Mistletoe around your house and if a man and woman are below it they have to kiss”

“And if they do not?”

“Then they have a year of bad luck”

Inu-no-taisho stared at the plant thinking before holding Izayoi’s chin and lifting her head up before he lowered his and closed the gap between them, kissing her. He was about to pull away from their innocent peck when he felt Izayoi deepening the kiss turning it into a more passion filled one. He was shocked but happy. They finally broke away and stared at each other. Inu-no-taisho smiled and pulled Izayoi into an embrace.

 ***

Kagome sighed; InuYasha was tiring her out with all his questions on this tradition Christmas.

“And what’s that weird plant is it for healing?”

Kagome looked up to see the small innocent plant hanging in the door way silently cursing her mom.

“It’s mistletoe, it’s hung up around the house and when a man and woman are standing under it they have to share a kiss or else they both have year of bad luck”

“Oh…”

InuYasha continued to look at the plant thoughtfully. Kagome sighed knowing she’d have to watch her step this Christmas her mom was up to her tricks again. Kagome was brought out of her thoughts when she was pulled over to the door way by InuYasha.

“Inu?”

She stared at the blushing Hanyou wandering what he was up to before she looked up noticing they were under mistletoe.

“Inu…”

She was interrupted when InuYasha’s lips suddenly landed on hers. She froze for a moment due to shock but after a minute deepened it turning it into something more. She pulled away and smiled up at the blushing Hanyou. She knew this year was going to be the best yet.

Calling

Madeline searched through the draw of the old desk in one of the mansion’s many ancient rooms.  She’d tried to return the woman to her children and husband but the ghost still wandered the halls nightly…searching.  Madeline released a sigh as she thought about how unaware she had been only a month ago of the events that were to unfold.

 One Month Ago…

Madeline stared at the large house, no the mansion, before her.  It was a classic nineteenth century house, with all its original features as it hadn’t been occupied or touched in the last 120 years.  If one looked at the house long enough they would notice that it had once been a magnificent building with white walls, a light grey-green roof and a large front lawn.  Now the paint had faded and dirtied and the lawn was overgrown with weeds as time had run its course, hiding the mansion’s real charm.

Madeline was only 17 but she had already quit schooling to help with the family business and now she owned an old abandoned mansion.  Her parents had died in a plane crash when she was four so she remembered little of them but she’d still grown up happily with her aunt and uncle who were unable to have any kids of their own.

“Miss O’Field, you have a meeting soon, we should leave.”

Madeline broke out of her trail of thought and turned to face her chauffeur.  He appeared to be in his late 50’s with wisps of white hair escaping his cap and his John Lennon glasses which continuously slid down his nose despite his best efforts to stop them.

“Oh, of course, thank you Gramps!”

Madeline pretended to miss the look on his face when she got into the car as he held her door open.  Peter was in no way related to her or her family but she loved to call him ‘Gramps’ despite his obvious disdain for it.

 ***

Madeline knocked on her aunt’s office door before entering the chaotic room.  Her aunt was playing solitaire on her computer, either avoiding work or she had already finished.

“Ah! Madeline, did you go visit your inheritance?  What did you think?”

“I was wondering if maybe I could live there and get it restored.  It’s such a beautiful house, I don’t understand why it’s been abandoned”

“Because it’s haunted”

Madeline had heard the story about the haunted mansion ever since she was a child but she had never believed it and she still didn’t.  It was believed that a family used to live there but the husband abused his wife till one night he killed her before dying of alcohol poisoning himself.  They’d had two daughters but they’d escaped unharmed, at least physically.  The children had then each moved on with their lives, getting married and having a bunch of children who were believed to be Madeline’s great great great grandmothers and fathers or something like that.  When one of the woman’s granddaughters and her family returned to live in the house they soon moved out claiming that it was haunted and since then no one had stepped foot in there.

“Well Aunt, I’m going to live there and no stupid tale is going to convince me otherwise.  I only hope I can count on yours and uncle’s support”

“Of course, we’ll miss you and worry for you but we can help you move as soon as you wish”

 ***

Madeline flew forward as she woke up.  She could have sworn she’d heard someone talking but she was alone.  All the workers and staff had gone home hours ago.  She shook her head before laying back down to return to her pleasant dream.

‘Where are you?’

Madeline sat up once again and surveyed her surroundings.  The voice sounded distant yet close.  She randomly grabbed at things on her bedside table in hopes of finding her torch.  Once she’d found it she slipped her feet into her slippers and began to make her way slowly down the winding corridors.

‘Why’d you leave me?’

Madeline paused just before going round the corner as she heard the voice growing nearer.  She didn’t have to wait long as a ghostly figure walked round the corner and stood before her silently crying.  The figure was that of a middle aged women covered in bruises, blood and dressed in a night gown.  Madeline dropped her torch in shock when she noticed she could see the pattern on the wall through the person…the lady was transparent, like a ghost.

‘Have you seen them…my love and my children? Please take me to them…’

Madeline recovered from her shock enough to run in the opposite direction of the strange lady and straight outside to her car.

 ***

 “Gramps!”

“Miss O’Field!”

Madeline had realised that if she had gone to her aunt and uncle they would only have worried and removed her from the home she had come to love so much.  Her only other option had been to visit her chauffeur who had moved into the spare house on the family’s ground when his wife passed away seven years ago.  Although he was her chauffeur she often confided in him and saw him as part of the family.

“Gramps…it’s true…the house…haunted!”

“Miss O’Field, let me put some tea on to help you calm down.  I’ll never be able to help you if you continue to mumble like that.”

She smiled at him thankfully before collapsing into the closest chair.  Maybe she had still been half asleep and now she was going to be laughed at, but somehow she couldn’t help but feel that she had seen correctly.  She was brought out of her thoughts when the old man handed her a mug filled with tea.  She blew on the hot liquid as she watched her friend make himself comfortable in the armchair opposite to her.

“Now, Miss O’Field, tell me what has disturbed you so much that I find you in my cosy home at two am?”

“Sorry Gramps, but…I think I ran into a ghost at the old mansion that I’m living in.”

She watched him carefully as she told him everything that had happened but his expression never changed as he continued to listen and sip his tea.  Once she’d finished Gramps placed his cup on his knee and adjusted his glasses.

“Miss O’Field, I’m sure you weren’t expecting me to blindly believe your tale but instead you came here seeking refuge and comfort but I won’t say I disbelieve you either.  For now we’ll pretend it was just a nightmare and continue as if nothing has happened but if it reoccurs, come see me and we’ll decide what to do.  Now I suppose you won’t be able to sleep there tonight, you may stay in my spare room if you like.”

Madeline smiled at him before rising and heading to the room she used to stay in when she fought with her Aunt and Uncle.

 Present Day…

Madeline stopped her search as she found a yellowed envelope.  She searched for an address but only found ‘To whom it may concern’ written in tiny neat print on the front.  She sat down in the worn chair before carefully opening the letter.

 12 August 1863

 Dear Sir or Madam,

If you are reading this it must mean I have already passed onto the next world, you may not know who I am or who I was rather, but my name was Anne Cartwright.  I am writing this letter because I know it is unlikely that I will reach a natural end but I don’t believe I can pass over peacefully knowing that what happened in this house will remain secret forever.  I hope you read my story and pass this letter on to any of my surviving family members so that they may know of their history.

This family kept a secret that no one but my two daughters, my late husband, my brother-in-law and I knew, one that destroyed us.  It began after my late husband passed away of a fever, his older twin brother moved in with us making it seem as if it was him who died and not my late husband.  He promised to support us financially and that if we disobeyed he’d kill us all.  I would rather die than betray my love but I feared for my daughters who were only six and nine when this happened.  He often drank till he was drunk and abused us, I tried to protect my girls till they were old enough to leave this horrible place but I’m only a woman, what power do I possess?

My daughters left yesterday after weeks of my pleading, I made them promise to never return and I can only hope they keep it.  Now that I know they are safe and that the horrible man they were caused to wrongfully call father can never reach them I will end this charade.

I can only hope this letter is found and put into the right hands.  I hope that you may let me ask one final favour of you and that is may you place my body with my children or true husband so that I may rest in peace.  Thank you for reading my dreadful secret and may God please you and your family.

 Yours sincerely,

            Anne Cartwright.

Madeline stared at the letter in shock before rereading it to make sure she hadn’t missed any important details.  She sat and attempted to put her sudden rush of thoughts in some logical order before rushing out the door with the letter in hand.

 ***

Madeline scattered the woman…no Anne’s ashes over the woman’s children’s graves before turning to the wrongly marked grave.  The grave was meant to be the husband’s older twin brother’s grave but after reading the letter she was sure that this was Anne’s husband’s final resting place.  As she scattered the remaining ashes over the grave two ghostly figures appeared a little way ahead of her.  She recognized the woman to be Anne but she was no longer covered in bruises and blood and she was smiling.  Madeline smiled at the woman and the man who was probably her husband as Peter gasped behind her.  Once the figures had disappeared Madeline turned and walked past Peter towards the car.

“Come on Old man, this is no time to stare blankly with your mouth open, I have places to be!”

A Little Intro

Hiya!

This is my first official journal entry for this site so it will be short.
This profile is purely for my writing persona as my friends aren't allowed access to my stories and to make sure they can't I use a fake name and a different email address but it nice because I get a freedom one rarely feels as I don't have to worry about ruining my image or doing something my friends wouldn't approve of (reading shounen-ai being one of them) but obviously I won't abuse the privilege ^^
You can go check my stories out on Fanfiction.net under the pen name 'ILiketoDie' or just click on 'My Webpage Link' on this account.

I hope people enjoy my stories even though I'm still an amateur working on improving basic skills but I hope to release a manga or two and possibly a novel one day when my skills are decent.  I'm busy working on these said mangas and novels although the mangas are purely in script form as my art skills are no where near good enough and I fear never will be.  I'll post some samples of these mangas and the novel one day but till I have something concrete I want to keep my ideas private for fear of having them stolen.

Another thing I may post on here is some of my art work but I'm still debating on that as the art is also on my DA account under my real name... If you ant to see my art just ask permission for my DA user...

And one final thing I'm considering posting on here are recipes I'm practicing (not made up by me, just used) they'll mainly be desserts but they'll be tried, tested and possibly improved.  I'll post the said recipe and a picture of the finished product along side it.  I'm open to requests!

Also just so you know a bit about me as a person.
I'm currently at College (not Uni) studying Physics AS, Chemistry AS and Maths Mechanics AS. I plan to study Physics A2, Chemistry A2, Further Maths AS and Biolgy AS next yr (I'm doing 3 years instead of the usual 2). I  also hope to study Chinese, Japanese and German at a later date as well as further my French.  I enjoy sports, attending the gym and dance.  I love nature and wouldn't trade my friends or family for the world!

Thanks for taking the time to read this!
Bye-bye!

P.S. So much for being short...
P.S.S. I'll prob post book, anime, manga and movie reviews on here too...
